In close collaboration with the NTB Interstate University of Applied Sciences Buchs, DORBENA has developed a highly sensitive, computer-controlled measuring instrument to classify quilts.
This classification – known as the warmth index – takes into consideration and measures two decisive parame- ters that determine the properties of a quilt:
4 Fo4r sleepers w4ith a4 very lo4w h4eat 4
3 r e q3 u i r e m e n t a 3n d / o3 r f o r s l e3 e p e3 r s i n v e r y 3
2 wa2rm bedroom2 s. 2Suitable2for2waterbeds.2
• The heat retention capacity of the quilt • The moisture absorption of the quilt
Both parameters together make it possible to divide the quilts into 4 categories for different needs. We have specified the warmth index for each quilt.
